WEBINAR DETAILS
Critical thinking is the art and science behind the
provision of the best possible end-of-life care. Part of this process is
continually asking “Is this really true?”. In end-of-life care, staff want to
help people who are suffering and who frequently ask questions with no
definitive answer. “Can my husband hear me?” “Why did my husband die after I
left the room? I promised him I would be at his side.”
In attempting to provide comfort, “hospice urban
myths” have evolved over the years. These myths have been passed along so many
times that they begin to feel as if they are actually true, when in fact, that
is often not the case. This webinar will look at many of these myths and whether
they are really true. It will explore better ways to support people when life
events feel unfair or hopeless.
THIS WEBINAR WILL BENEFIT THE FOLLOWING AGENCIES:
- Hospice
- Palliative Care
