A federal Public Health Emergency was declared on January 31, 2020. Agencies began implementing numerous waivers instituted by CMS starting in March of 2020. Three years later, the federal PHE will officially expire on May 11, 2023. Hospice agencies must resume pre-pandemic compliance conditions of practice.
