Biography
Reverend Jim Andrews currently serves as the Director of Spiritual Care and Chair of the Bioethics Committee for Empath Health Hospice Division. He is in his 26th year with Empath Health, initially serving in the education department then as a chaplain for many years before assuming his current role ten years ago. Jim is dedicated to demonstrating, developing, and
advocating for the continued impact of chaplaincy and spiritual care in the
Hospice setting.
Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in human development and
counseling psychology from Eckerd College. He also holds a master’s degree in
religious studies from the University of South Florida. The Reverend is:
- Ordained with the Federation of Christian Ministries
- A Board-Certified Chaplain (BCC) with the Spiritual Care Association
- A Board-Certified Healthcare Ethics Consultant through the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities
- A Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma
