ABOUT US
The Hospice Council of West Virginia is a non-profit membership organization that was incorporated in 1988. It was founded in the early 1980s as hospice agencies were starting in some of West Virginia’s larger cities.HCWV's mission is to promote hospice and palliative care concepts for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families in West Virginia by fostering:
- Understanding of available hospice and palliative care resources
- Education and networking for member hospice and palliative care providers
- Improved legislation, regulations, standards, and reimbursement for hospice and palliative care —Advocacy
- Communication among hospice and palliative providers and other health care providers
