Biography
Erin Burns is an attorney
at Husch Blackwell, working with the firm’s Hospice & Palliative Care Team.
Her practice includes providing quick answers to immediate day-to-day
operational questions along with more complex regulatory problem solving. Erin
has assisted numerous providers through various governmental audits, including
those from Unified Program Integrity Contractors (UPICs) and Supplemental
Medical Review Contractors (SMRCs). She has also worked with providers
exploring palliative care service options and has assisted with contract
preparation and review, including inpatient services agreements, physician
agreements, and vendor agreements. Erin is dedicated to supporting hospice and
palliative care providers and delivering effective, efficient advocacy.
