Carol May is the manager of the Supportive Care Program at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP) of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She developed and maintains the pediatric palliative care program at CHP providing palliative care consultation on advanced care planning, decision-making support, pain and symptom management, care coordination, end-of-life care, and bereavement services for children with a life-threatening illness or injury and their families. She co-founded a perinatal palliative care program at the University of Pittsburgh with the physician leadership of the palliative care program and colleagues from obstetrics, genetics, and neonatology. Carol received a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Carlow University and Master’s of Nursing and Business from Duquesne University.
