Expanding Volunteer Services Outside the Box & Meeting Your Five Percent Requirement
A volunteer manager’s primary challenge is to increase the amount of hospice care provided by volunteers. Meet and exceed your five percent requirement by focusing on providing exceptional care and getting “out of the box.” Providing a wider variety of work options increases volunteer retention. This webinar will include ways to expand volunteer services while meeting or exceeding Medicare’s five percent mandate.
Do you feel valued as a volunteer manager? Are you included in decisions that affect your department? Are you confident about what you bring to the table? Do you need to better define and manage how others perceive you? This webinar will explore how to take a more assertive approach within your department, with other departments, and with team members and volunteers. Learn why an aggressive approach usually produces negative results, while being more assertive can invite discussion. Determine how you can make improvements and be included in decision-making.

Raising the Bar for Volunteer Feedback: Surveys, Exit Interviews & Committee Involvement
Volunteers observe and experience hospice operations from a much different vantage point than staff. Although volunteers may often be more objective, they are frequently left out of the decision-making process. Therefore, it is imperative to formalize and facilitate obtaining volunteers’ feedback. This can be accomplished through surveys, exit interviews, and establishing specialized volunteer committees. Join us to learn the aspects, benefits, and methods of seeking volunteers’ input.
