Helplessness & Hopelessness: The Volunteer Role in Finding Meaning
Richard Bach, author of “Jonathan Livingston Seagull” has said, “Here is a test to find whether your mission on Earth is finished: If you´re alive it isn't.” Within that quote lies the spirit of hospice and a special gift volunteers can share. It is difficult to accomplish much in the presence of overwhelming helplessness and hopelessness. But, it is time to get beyond the notion that “I am just a volunteer” and explore your potential. This webinar will examine the link between finding meaning in loss and redefining hope, and address the volunteer’s role in assisting clients to feel they are helpful to those they love…in small, yet important, ways.
